We are entering a new age of insurance risk due to many of the early wind farms now reaching maturity and some their end of life. As a result, failures are becoming more and more frequent.

As seasoned wind industry professionals, we have seen and investigated our fair share of costly and catastrophic wind turbine failures. Insurance companies are also well aware of this through an increased number of claims year-on-year.

Mech-V offers inspection services and technical consultancy to the insurance sector to assist them to balance the risk of their cover and also support them on technical aspects in the case of expensive claims from their customers. We also offer fully independent inspection services to give our clients an accurate assessment of true asset condition and therefore remove any biased opinion from the wind farm operator or maintenance provider.

Our Drone Capability

We fly cutting-edge DJI enterprise-level inspection drones. These drones are capable of safely inspecting high-value assets at a stand-off range. This is due to their stabilised optically zoomed high-resolution cameras. They also feature a thermal camera to see what the naked eye cannot.
